In March, we gathered in East Lansing to celebrate our 2025 MCTM Outstanding Mathematics Educators at a special awards dinner! (From left to right): Miroslav Bozinovic, Madeleine Burns, Matthew Guyton, and Caitlyn Walton — four incredible educators making a powerful impact in math classrooms across Michigan. Each honoree brings passion, creativity, and a deep commitment to student success. From building confident math learners to transforming instruction schoolwide, their work is inspiring. The Michigan Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) is thrilled to announce the recipients of our latest round of grant funding! These outstanding educators have demonstrated a commitment to enhancing student learning through creative and hands-on math experiences. 2025 MCTM Grant Recipients:Kelly Hemmerling (Milford High School, Huron Valley Schools) – Using 3D printing to help AP Calculus students visualize complex volume calculations. These innovative projects exemplify the power of hands-on learning and thoughtful instruction in mathematics education.
