In this interactive follow-up session, participants will engage in meaningful dialogue about what this work looks like in their own districts and contexts. Together, we will surface current successes and challenges, identify needed supports, and collaboratively problem-solve barriers to implementation. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice navigating real-world conversations with teachers and leaders, building confidence and clarity as they move this work forward in their own communities.

Other Professional Learning Opportunities from our Statewide Partners!

Early Math Leadership Institute 2026

We are excited to announce the return of the Early Math Leadership Institute, taking place August 3–5, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan, with a remote site option at Marquette Alger RESA (August 3–4). This annual institute brings together Michigan education leaders to build a shared vision for high-quality early mathematics teaching and learning across pre-K through grade 5.

This year’s theme, Crafting Coherence Over Time, will focus on systems-level approaches to strengthening instruction, building leadership capacity, and sustaining impactful math practices. ISDs are strongly encouraged to attend as teams, and we welcome expanded team participation this year. Registration is now open, and hotel space is limited, so we encourage early registration and lodging reservations.
